I Am A Policy Making Graduate

I am a 1993 North Carolina Partners in Policymaking graduate. I have spent the past three years writing a book about our family’s journey through the disability world. The training provided through the Partners in Policymaking program was pivotal in my ability to access services for my son and promote change for others. 

They Created Us is a one of a kind book that provides the reader with an understanding of the journey of families of children with disabilities from all perspectives. They Created Us also provides valuable information to people with disabilities and their families regarding special education and Medicaid resources.
