Trainings Target Audience

This workshop is designed for case managers, teachers, social workers, psychologists, counselors, human service practitioners, health care professionals, and parents or guardians of individuals with autism.

Description of Workshop

This workshop will focus on visual structuring techniques to promote communication, skill acquisition and independence in individuals with autism.

A panel of consumers will give an insider’s perspective on living with autism. A parent panel will discuss parent-professional relationships and offer practical advice to establish positive interactions.

CEU Information

This 5 hour workshop would provide 5 CEUs for North Carolina teachers.

FREE WORKSHOP providing information on Self-Injurious Behavior. Family members, care givers, teachers, counselors, principals, social workers, case managers, school resource officers, and direct care technicians are encouraged to attend.

Topics will include but not limited to: What Self-Injurious Behavior is, Who is Affected, and Why individuals are affected along with current theories and interventions will be discussed.

Strategies and interventions that professionals and caregivers can use will be included. The workshop, refreshments and handouts are provided at no cost to participants!
